We are pleased to announce the last set of guest lectures part of our Design lab. On the 8th of June at Politecnico di Milano, Campus Leonardo, classroom B.4.1, Tom Emerson (6a architects) and Anne Holtrop (studio Anne Holtrop) will present their work.

The lectures will start at 10.30 and are open to everyone.

Hola Gennaro,

Te paso un par de enlaces a dos podcasts bastante interesantes.

El primero se llama Planeta Beta, programa semanal producido por profesores de la escuela de arquitectura de la Universidad Europea de Madrid donde invitan en cada programa a un arquitecto o persona relacionada con el mundo de la arquitectura.

El segundo podcast es el que reúne las conferencias de la Fundación Juan March desde los años 70’s. Aunque estas conferencias son muy variadas, encontrarás bastantes impartidas por arquitectos.

per non vedere solo progetti di studenti con pannelli in policarbonato (registrandosi, si ha accesso a tutto il database dove si vedono le caratteristiche fisiche e tecniche di ogni materiale)

lo scatolone con le “tavole riassunto” delle tesi della etsam. se si scrive nei campi di ricerca: “sobresaliente” e “pfc” usciranno tutte le tesi che hanno ricevuto il massimo punteggio. se si scrive “matricula de honor” appariranno le poche poche tesi (Izaskun chinchilla, Javier Garcia German, ecc) che sono state ritenute eccelse.

Archeonet is a research developed within the Faculty of Architecture of Genoa and financed by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research.

Aim of Archeonet is the valorisation of the cultural and natural Italian heritage through the development of archaeological sites, museums that manage them and geographical areas in which these sites are. The basic idea of this research is that the economical resources produced by mass tourism can be partly readdressed and redistributed along the territory in order to promote other areas where there are important sites of historical and cultural interest, but not yet included in the chain of international tourism.

Sessant’anni anni fa, sabato 5 maggio 1945, era un giorno di primavera soleggiato. In quel giorno meraviglioso, circa alle ore 12.00, comparve davanti all’ingresso del campo di Mauthausen un automezzo della Croce Rossa Internazionale e due carri armati da ricognizione (autoblindo) americani.
L’ex sergente di Stato Maggiore Albert Kosiek comandante del primo plotone del gruppo D del 41° squadrone di Cavalleria Meccanizzata della XI divisione corazzata USA, era sul primo carro e nella meticolosa relazione al suo comando militare scriveva:

Forse il 5 maggio 1945 era un giorno qualunque per voi: noi pensavamo che lo sarebbe stato anche per noi, ma prima del tramonto. Quel giorno noi avevamo partecipato a esperienze che misero veramente alla prova la nostra immaginazione.
