The Politeama in Como, Italy, was built in 1909. At that time, it was a popular theatre in the city. It was not until 2005 that it finally closed down because of years of renunciation. The theme of this project is shaping the Politeama into an auditorium, which aimed to the public or only students.  we decided to create a more freedom space which is mainly for students .

The core of this building is the auditorium hall which also can be used for reading and communication . The combination of blocks and stage ensured that everyone has a good view for the performance without worry for the mater of blocking sight. They can easily go to the first floor because of the block which can connect to the first two auditorium can the easily accommodate around 550audiences, because we keep the seats on the first and second floor and also add steps on their side of first floor.

In addition, we also create the space for technology room ,dressing room and so on by reuse the lower part of theses steps. When there is no performance, the auditorium hall can be used for communication and reading with exhibition and out platform, which is opened for all the public. As for the first and second floor, we just add some space for classroom and office. What’s more, students can go to the third floor also roof platform through the stairs on the north of the third floor which they can also could also provide a good view of the auditorium hall.
