“Close, Closer”: Triennale Millennium BCP Universities Award Competition

Friday, November 30th, 2012

The site of the competition for university students is the new headquarters of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, the Palácio Sinel de Cordes in Campo de Santa Clara, Lisbon. We invite students to put forward a programmatic intervention for this Palace that addresses the theme of Close, Closer. It can be an installation of great beauty, drama or simplicity, an idea or a text, a publishing programme or a radio station. A long-term element of infrastructure or a site-specific piece for the opening. Students will be given a budget to make their intervention and proposals from interdisciplinary teams are strongly encouraged.

Tuesday, September 13th, 2011

Archmedium, a student organization that has been promoting International Architecture Competitions for over two years, with the support of the Architecture School of Barcelona (ETSAB) and the Polytechnic University of Catalunya (UPC), launches Paris Market Lab. The ArchMedium competitions are conceived as learning experiences and allow students to become familiar with how professional architecture competitions work. By participating, students will have the chance to get their projects reviewed by teachers from other schools, see their proposals published on architecture magazines and exhibited around the world.
